Grow old with you
This song by Adam Sandler never fails to elicit a response from me. It is so romantic and I can picture not only myself but several people close to me growing old with their special someone in life. A cabin somewhere complete with rustic furniture inside and a fireplace to keep them warm with a plush hearth rug in front of it… a bottle of wine and maybe strawberries dipped in chocolate… the radio playing a mellow music in the background… lights are off except for the fireplace and it’s either raining or snowing outside… and a couple sitting side by side, holding hands and kissing. What a sweet picture inside my head!
I want to grow old with someone special but if there’s no one out there for me, then so be it. I just hope all my love ones will have someone to hold them and grow old with them and be with them in that scenario in my mind.
Helper’s dad
My dad has a helper for the stuff he has to do at home daily. His name is Vince. My dad pays him to help him out with cleaning the house and running errands for us. Vince has six younger siblings. He helps his parents earn a living to make ends meet. His dad is currently holding a kitchen crew job in a local restaurant but is still looking for Fast Food Cook Jobs. It will be a second job for him apart from the weekend job that he holds with a catering company.
It’s so easy to find a job these days if only the person applying will not be choosy of the type of work he will get. And if a family of young kids is waiting for food to be set on the table, then finding a job is a must!
Break time
I had a break time from work last week and I spent the three days with love ones. We went to this out of town bazaar and there was a mini festival of some sort. There were so many things to see and we feasted not only our eyes but also out tummies with sumptuous food as well as items that we couldn’t resist buying like the Joe Rocket Jackets for the guys and several cute tees for the girls.
I just love spending time with my love ones. They are so much fun to be with! I know some people think it’s plain boring to be spending a vacation with the family but for me it’s the best way to spend what little break time I have!
Something for granny
My gran has been feeling under the weather for a few days now. I know that she needs some cheering up so what I will do is order one of those granny gourmet gifts I saw, Red Velvet Cupcakes, and will go visit her this weekend. I will spend time with the woman who was there for me when my mom was busy with my siblings.
Whenever I think of my gran, I know that there will be at least a few more years I can spend with her. She is not getting any younger and I know that an assortment of ailments has cropped up over the last couple of years that make her go weak from time to time. I just pray that I can spend more quality time with her and show her how much I love her in my own way.
Never forget
One of the things I learned over the years is to never forget… Never forget the good things that happened to you. Never forget the people who helped propel you to the level you are in now. Never forget the good things and throw away all the bad ones.
As a way to never forget, I am thinking of giving stainless steel partner rings to two persons who are always there for me. Through thick or thin they stood by me and never left my side. The two persons who saw me suffer through the worse periods of my life and who helped me pick myself up and move on.
As tall as the buildings around…
My dreams are as tall as the metal buildings around. Actually, one of those dreams is to own a building. A commercial and residential one. I had my eyes on an abandoned building in front of the church a few blocks away. Unfortunately, before my millions arrived, it was already snapped up by a local real estate company and it is now being built into the building of my dreams.
But I know that soon all my dreams will come true. I just need to work harder for it.
I just wish my millions will arrive NOW!
Enticing unique approach
Schools are everywhere! Almost every one of the schools around offer the same stuff to students. So how do you choose which one to go to? Location for one. The nearer to your place of residence, the better. Tuition and school fees for another. The less costly the school is, the better for your parents’ pockets.
And then there’s an enticing unique approach to teaching!
Regency Institute, a cosmetology school, offers a unique approach to teaching beauty to their students. An on-campus work experience while learning the basics from the expert faculty. Enticing, don’t you think? So which beauty school will you choose?
I say go for Regency!

Serious problems
It’s scary to think that some stuff we associate to cute and hope for survival can actually cause us serious problems instead. I am talking about some medications with dangerous side effects! Admit it, there are so many of that kind out there.
If you are a victim, don’t hesitate to seek legal help. I was just reading something about the Crestor lawsuit. Crestor is used to treat high cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular disease but can you believe that a scientific study links it to serious side effects? Scary, don’t you think?
Let’s be aware of this. If you are a victim or know one yourself, seek legal help as soon as possible!
Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close

Be sure to bring a box of tissues when you watch this film about a 10-year-old boy who journeys across New York after losing his father (played by Tom Hanks) on September 11, 2011. He is determined to find the box that goes with the key his dad left him, and his perseverance and love will tug at your heartstrings. Bring your guy or your BFF when you watch this so you’ll have a shoulder to cry on (and someone to hug you) when the waterworks start. – cosmo.ph
I just saw this movie as one of the top movies to watch this January 2012. I must say I was immediately drawn to it upon seeing Sandra Bullock‘s name on the top. Not so much with Tom Hanks as I don’t like some of his movies. So I read the blurb and, well, this is a movie that is indeed one to be excited about!
It will be shown in Manila on January 20.
Can’t wait!
