Lovely poster!

I saw this in Pinterest and was immediately drawn to the artsy look of the poster. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. That’s the movie and I just love the poster which I can already see hanging on my bedroom wall.

Where can I find and buy this poster? I really want one!

Totally for it!

My opinion was once asked about background checks on potential employees and I said that I am totally for it! I see nothing wrong with checking a person’s background to make sure that he is totally fit for work. To make sure that the person is not hiding something that will endanger others around him. And that what he wrote in his resume and told the human resources are accurate.

I say make it a mandatory step before hiring an employee, especially those that will work around kids. Make it a must!

Anyway, if a person has nothing to hide, there’s nothing for a person to be wary of. Right?

Only the best for his girl

Quincy only wants the best for his girl. He’s been in love with her since they were teenagers and his love for her never wavered over the years. Now that they are married, he showers her with his love not only through actions but also through gifts that he gives her every now and then.

The last one he gave her were diamond earrings for women. It was just something he thought of giving her when he saw how she’s always wearing the same earrings for the past couple of months already. Since he can afford it, he thought why not give her a new pair to wear? And that’s what he did.

Lucky woman, I say!

Puppies everywhere!

Since the puppies are everywhere in the house, Jay needs to buy two oreck vacuum cleaners that he and his family can use when cleaning dog hairs and the rest of the mess at home. Why two vacuum cleaners, you might ask? Well, Jay always want to have a spare of the most important things in their house. You can call him OC when it comes to his purchases but you can understand his reasons.

And with all his pets roaming the house freely at all times, he wants to make sure that the house is still clean as he also has a kid at home that he has to look after.

Renner-Aquino meet up

The evening news flashed that Mission Impossible and Bourne Legacy actor Jeremy Renner visited the president of the country Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to make a courtesy call. It’s nothing new as most well-known foreign celebrities who come for a visit really go out of their way to pay the president a courtesy for being in the country.

What struck me as odd in the meet up was Jeremy’s attire. I smiled when I saw that he wore the traditional Filipino formal attire Barong Tagalog. But when I saw the photo that came out with the Philstar.com article the day after the visit took place, I shook my head, disappointed. Barong Tagalog with cargo pants. Really?!?

Who goes to meet a country’s president wearing a very casual pants? Didn’t Jeremey know that he’s meeting the president that day? I’m sure he knew. Why didn’t he even bother wearing slacks? When you go meet the highest officer of a country the first thing that comes to mind in attire is formal. As a COURTESY to the highest officer of the country you wear your Sunday best. But no, Jeremy Renner had to go wear his cargo pants to meet the president.

What a disappointment!

Saving up on utility costs

Every month I make sure to check our utility consumption particularly in electricity. I want to be able to save up and by using led lights, we are sure to use less electricity every single day. A few bucks savings will mean big money when summed up at the end of the year, you know.

I was not proactive in checking expenses we incurred at home. That is no longer the case. I now check our expenses regularly. Analyze is more like it! I make sure that if there’s something we can do to lessen any expense at home, we do it.

Sentimental old woman

I’m a sentimental person. I will be honest with you and tell you that I store stuff that have a meaning to me. It doesn’t matter if that thing no longer works or is already a candidate for the junk shop. If it has a sentimental value to me, chances are it will go directly to storage if not being used anymore.

We had an old leather from when I was younger. I don’t want to have it thrown away because it was a symbol of how we were and how far we’ve come as a family. I will get the cleaning leather couch to restore it and will most likely put it in the second floor living room.

Alone

Whenever Maria’s daughters are traveling and she’s all alone at home, she turns to gardening to pass the time. Her daughters hired a carpenter for a shed that she now uses to house all her gardening tools. Beside it are her compost bins. She also has sprinklers installed. She has a mini gazebo that houses her flowering plants.

So she ins’t really lonely even though she is alone. Her gardening occupies her mind when she doesn’t have her daughters to fuss over. She actually loves the peace that she feels when she is surrounded by her plants.

Setting shop

Victor is a creative person. He is really good with his hands particularly in drawing, sketching and painting. The last one is something that he can tweak to literally painting small objects. One time a friend asked him to restore an old toy back to its former vibrant color by painting it again. Victor has testors model paint so he used that and the toy came back to life! Another friend asked him to repaint an old car of his and the same thing happened.

Nowadays he is no longer just offering his drawing, sketching and painting services. He is also offering restoration of different car models as well as small objects that he can fix.

Itchy hands

So my hands itched to change this blog’s theme and voila! I now have a new WordPress theme courtesy of SimplyWP!

No longer shy.

Upon the recommendation of his homeroom teacher, Jonas joined the school play. It was about a rockstar who was once shy but with the encouragement of his love ones discovered his talent and potential and became a success. His homeroom teacher probably thought he could be the same.

And you know what? He came out of his shell during that period he was practicing for the play! He is no longer shy and in fact his older brother’s Floyd Rose guitar strings are putty in his hands and the one thing that made him “in” with the A-crowd.

Being shy is no longer an option for him.

Fantastic waistline!

Dita Von Teese has a fantastic waistline, I tell you. She was hired by a local celebrity cosmetic surgeon for her birthday and she wore something similar to lingerie corsets in her routines and, boy, did everyone’s eyes bulged out of its sockets with how delicate and lovely she looked! I think the surgeon’s boyfriend even went a little crazy over Dita there. He-he-he!

I don’t think there are other full figured women with that kind of waistline around. She just looks fantastic! She looks elegant all the time and a glass princess but without the untouchable look.

Going trekking

The group of friends made a promise that after their memorable camping trip last year, they will go trekking this year. Then hiking and mountain climbing next year. They are quite an adventurous bunch of kids! They are young professionals who went to college together. They formed a bond when they did their thesis for months and labored over the 98% they got for it. From then on, they became close friends. And now that they are working adults, their friendship remained as strong as ever.

They bought their Treksta shoes. They will need it for the trekking they have in mind. They can also use the shoes for next year’s hiking and mountain climbing. They hired a professional to help them prepare for the three-day long trekking they have planned.

Varsity team’s decision

The high school varsity team had a discussion on where to display the basketball trophies they amassed over the years. One captain suggested in the past that the MVP of that year when a particular trophy was awarded should have the right to bring home that trophy. Of course, the rest of his teammates didn’t approve of his suggestion. He was the MVP of that year and they told him that the championship was a group effort.

A consensus was reached and the trophies will be taken to the principal’s office for now until a new glass display case (that was broken and vandalized so many times in the past) will be in place once again.

Uh-oh!

I read a story about a high school football coach getting kicked out of his job because he accidentally posted his nude photo in his Facebook wall! It was just a mistake as he was supposed to post it privately for his girlfriend alone but instead he posted it for everyone to see. A parent of one of his school’s students saw the photo and immediately reported him to school officials.

Then he got the boot!

Lesson learned: Do NOT post your naked photos via Facebook! Better yet, do not take photos of yourself naked!
