So my hands itched to change this blog’s theme and voila! I now have a new WordPress theme courtesy of SimplyWP!

My blogging life

I am happy to say that blogging didn’t and will not take over my life. I can leave it from time to time and come back again. I had those periods when I was in a slump. I couldn’t think of anything to write even if I knew what the topics were.

What I do on those times was to step back and just let it all wash over me. I accept the fact that everyone goes through a slump. A funk, if you must. And then when I feel like I am back to my rhythm, then I go back and write and write and write!

So do you like my new theme?

I’ve retained the old header and just tweaked it a bit to fit the new header width. I also would have liked to use the old blog background I have but for some reason, I just couldn’t get it to show up. As you can see, I have managed to get it to show up only in the blog description and navigation area. I am still tweaking with the stylesheet a bit to get the blog background image to really show up.

The reason why I wanted to change themes is that I grew tired of trying to tweak the codes of the old one. No single post file ready and I also wanted two sidebars because I am going to put up some things on it. As I’ve said in an earlier post, I will put up movie trailers and some things about organizing stuff on it.

Just go back again within the next few days and I promise there will be new shiny things on the sidebar for you to tinker with!

New theme to be installed

A new theme will be installed within the hour. There will be some changes here and there. I want this blog to look cleaner and will add on some things on the sidebar(s) as well.

On the sidebar: movie trailers and other things related to movies I like. And a running list of movies I’ve watch and about to watch.

Changes again?

I will be changing the theme here. I am looking for a clean layout. A three-column theme will be fine with me. I plan to use the same header and will just adjust it if the new theme will require a wider header. I won’t be changing the title and the description of this blog but will retain the same.

I also plan to put movie trailers on the sidebar. The latest movie trailer of the one I am most looking forward to be watching. I will also put a running list of movies I’ve watched for the year. I will start it in 2011. And I have so much more in my mind right now I will try to put everything into perspective first.

Things change…

When I started this blog, all I wanted to feature here were stories that shocked me. Or stories that caught my interest. Stories that made me slack-jawed!

But then things change. I still want to blog about those stories but I want this blog now to have a more personal feel. I want to write about movies and about my serial organizing. I want to write more about me.

So there was an update in ranks and my 2 stayed the same. Yeah! I was actually dreading the update but I am happy of the result.

Would you complain if your 2 stayed a 2? Of course not, right? So no complaints from this side. I am happy!

Organized Chaos

Finally! I am able to think of an appropriate title for the revamp of this blog. Organized Chaos. It’s the state of my mind. I love organizing but I always end up in chaos. I love watching movies, working really hard for a bigger paycheck, and as my tagline says, I am a serial organizer.

Something new in this blog

So I’ve decided to change the theme of this blog. I realized that I haven’t been using this one that much, haven’t been updating as much. Since I love watching movies, I might as well use this blog to chronicle my movie junkie days.

Do you like the idea?

I will write down the reviews of movies I’ve watched in the past to the present. I used to have this movie list back in college. I was really too much of a movie-holic back then. But I stopped writing down the movies I’ve watched while working in the corporate world. Starting this year, I thought I might as well write it down again. Easier to track what I watched and what I missed, right?

I watched only one movie in January of this year. It’s Sherlock Holmes. But I will write my review of Avatar first. It’s one of the greatest movies I’ve watched ever. Plus, I’ve watched it three times last December so I might as well write about that.

I truly apologize for the lack of posts in this blog for the past few weeks now. I stopped posting Weekend Snapshot entries because of the lack of participation from members. I don’t know if I will bring it back. I will probably ask around if there are still interested in the meme and if there’s more than five people still interested, I just might bring it back

Anyway, I am revamping this site. I have been thinking of what else to write here and I thought of writing about my thoughts on the things happening around the world. Of course, the bizarre and the weird, the brilliant and the interesting news will still find their way to this blog.

…for the intermittent posts. I have encountered some difficulties and this blog was affected by it. Sorry for that. I am back now. For good! And to make sure that I won’t miss any WS entry, I have scheduled all WS entries until the end of 2009
