Patrick McDreamy

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey is the ultimate leading man in romantic comedies these days. I love him in Made of Honor! I believe he has mastered the dreamy look that’s why he’s called McDreamy. He’s one of the reasons why I stuck with Grey’s Anatomy. Seeing him there just makes my day.

I do wish he’ll be given more roles in other rom-coms and that soon enough he’ll follow the footsteps of my original McDreamy… George Clooney!

Blessings do come in droves

It does and I am thankful.

I was a nutcase a few days ago. I am thinking about a lot of things and stressing myself out. As usual. I was also driving my sister crazy with the things in my mind. I kept telling her about it and she got annoyed with me because all the solutions she suggested to me were rebuffed.

I have always been this way. Stressing myself out with worries and then driving everyone around me crazy because of it.

And then the blessings would come. That’s the time my mind would shut up. That’s the time the worries would cease. I wish I could just be patient enough to wait for the good things to come instead of stressing myself out for the lack of it.

And here I thought…

Your Attention Span is Medium

Your attention span is just about average.
You may think that you have a short attention span…
But being distracted is something most people struggle with.

The most important thing is that you’re aware that your mind wanders.
If you find yourself daydreaming, you can usually snap out of it.
It may be tough to concentrate at times, but you can do it… if you want to!

Hapag ng Pag-asa

Hapag ng Pag-asa

The Heartist painter Joey Velasco passed away last July 21st. He was the artist who painted the famous Hapag ng Pag-asa which showcased Jesus Christ and instead of his followers, there were poor kids instead. The kids he used in the painting were real kids he helped feed.

According to news reports, he suffered from a life-threatening kidney ailment and days before he passed away, he had a heart attack and seizures.

May his soul rest in peace. And I know he is now witnessing a real supper with Jesus Christ.

*You can check out his works of art at Joey Velasco: The Man and The Artist.

Aargh, sick!

It’s so hard to be sick these days. You can’t work and then you have to spend for medicines. I was out for the week because of coughs and colds. I wasn’t able to do anything. There were no updates here or at my other blog. Too bad because I had so many things I wanted to share with all of you.

Anyway, I will write now and will schedule a few entries to be published within the week.

Happy Monday!

Everything You gave me

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything You gave me”.
- Erma Bombeck

Wouldn’t it be cool to stand in front of your Creator and tell Him that you utilized all the natural talents He gave you?

I would like to believe that He gave me the ability to write, albeit moderately average only, and the ability to balance the books of accounts of companies. I would like to believe that I have used the latter ability to the best that I can but that I feel I am more called to use the former ability to the fullest.

What about you?

Suicide

Suicide. I have said time and again that there are ways to cope with/battle depression. Get help. Talk to someone you truly trust and are close to. Do something and stop wallowing in self-pity. Get yourself busy. Surround yourself with the people you love and who loves you back. Just don’t spend time alone. Because when you are alone, that’s the time when the bad ideas would seep in and attack. It will attack your self-esteem, your emotions, your heart and mind. It will plant tiny seeds of doubt. It will tempt you to try something quick and easy. Just to end it all.

There is someone suffering from depression around you. Someone who has suicidal tendencies. If you feel capable of handling it, step in. Intervene. If you feel you can’t handle it, seek someone else’s help. Just don’t stand there and do nothing.

Because you never know. The day you ignored someone silently screaming for help might be the last time you ever see that person ever again.

Me: Old Soul and Hopeless Romantic

I am an old soul. If you ask me to choose between a laid back Sunday or a Sunday full of activities, I will choose the former in an instant. I love 50s music. I love the voices of Johnny Mathis, Louis Armstrong, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Buble… I love big bands.

I am a hopeless romantic. I have this dream of marrying a guy older than me so that I could be his baby and he’ll take care of me.

Maybe that is the reason why I love the character in the Twilight books. Edward Cullen. Well, who doesn’t want someone like him in real life? He is almost perfect! And I love how a man can be so giving and loving at the same time.

And if a guy can carry a tune… well, that fits the bill for me :)

Dancin’ in the Moonlight

Ahhh yes! Do you remember when Mandy Moore was really a big star and she’s like the Miley Cyrus of the late ’90s and early ’00s? I remember A Walk to Remember being a smash hit here in the Philippines. It was really huge and it catapulted Mandy Moore to the top!

Here’s one of the songs from the movie soundtrack that I really enjoy listening to over and over again…

Oh, Edward!

When I bought this domain name and opened this blog, what I have in mind was I will post all my Edward Cullen kabaliwan here. But I am more hooked on looking and reading than on posting what great information, videos and photos that I find.

So now that it’s almost 1 month since I last posted, I thought of doing something else with this blog. I will create a love story based loosely on Edward Cullen’s character. No, not the vampire. But the man that he is.

I am excited I will start putting it together now!

Addicted!

Once upon a time, I was ‘addicted’ to this person. Say what?! Yes, I was so into him. It took me years before I finally let go.

This song, Addicted by Steve Hoang, is for him…
