Les Misérables

I really can’t wait for this movie to come out. As seen in this poster, Amanda Seyfried will be one of the stars of the movie as well as Anne Hathaway, Russel Crowe, and Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean! If you don’t know yet, Les Misérables by Victor Hugo is about the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.
I’ve read the novel twice and I think I will need to read it again before I see the movie. Just to brush up on my knowledge of Jean Valjean.
Can’t wait!
HP no more!

My sister and I were talking about how there really is no more Harry Potter movies to look forward to every year. Unlike in the past when fans like us would do a countdown of the upcoming Harry Potter movie, re-reading books so that we were better ‘prepared’ for it.
These days, there’s no more movies as magical as Harry Potter to look forward to. There are good movies shown and coming up but it’s just not the same.
Three movies
What did you think of the last three movies you saw?
The last three movies I saw are Looper, The Dark Knight Rises, and Magic Mike. These were the movies I saw in the cinema. If you ask me the movies I’ve seen very recently on HBO, there’s a lot!
All three movies I’ve seen in the cinema were good. Looper is now one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s an intelligent movie starring my love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The Dark Knight Rises was nothing compared to the first two in the The Dark Knight Trilogy but it’s also good. And Magic Mike was a movie I can watch again and again. It’s so much fun!
So what are the most recent three movies you’ve seen? What do you think of it?
What’s up with Harry?!

Typically, this is the time of the year when all of us Potterheads are going crazy about an upcoming Harry Potter movie. Right? Well, that was in the past. There will be no more Harry Potter books or movies for us. We can read the books and watch the movies again, of course, but it’s never the same. The thrill of waiting always is something else!
Anyway, I was looking for news about Daniel Radcliffe and I saw one update in Facebook. He’s shooting a movie called Horns in Vancouver, Canada right now. The photo above accompanied that news from Just Jared Jr.
I like his look in the photo above. I also can’t wait to hear more about this movie he’s shooting. I can’t wait to see him in another movie. I saw him in The Woman in Black and he’s really good in it.
Ron and Hermione

They just look so good together!
I am a big fan of the Harry Potter books and movie franchise! I also a huge fan of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger‘s love team! I just think that theirs is a very romantic story, a relationship borne out of friendship which is for me is the best kind.
I miss them! It’s like I know them in real life. I’ve read the books so many times and watched the movies so many times as well!
Down to earth kids!

“It’s been the most amazing roller coaster ride.” – Emma Watson
I am truly amazed at how down to earth these kids from Harry Potter are. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson… they would talk about Harry Potter as the best experience in their lives and how it turned their lives around, for the better!
Polar opposite is KStew who seemed to all regretted ever being cast as Bella when it was that very role that shot her to fame, undeserving she is ever of that star!
All those brats in Hollywood should emulate these three kids who are already multi-millionaires but still very much down to earth.
The Avengers and Dark Shadows
I don’t know if I will be able to watch two movies that people are talking about. The Avengers and Dark Shadows. The latter is probably not showing in theaters anymore while the latter was just shown last week.

I am hoping I can still catch Dark Shadows in SM Cinema next week. I love Johnny Depp and any movie of his is enough reason for me to go out and shell out cinema money.
Have you seen both movies? What do you think?
Are you ready?!?

The Hunger Games mania is sweeping across the country and in the US. Are you ready for it?!?
I am!
Happy Monday everyone!
Let the countdown begin!
UnOfficially Yours

I have heard so much about this movie UnOfficially Yours starring John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. Many have said that it’s okay. The story is quite believable. I am not too sure if the story of a woman (Angel) who likes having sex anywhere with a co-worker (John Lloyd) and when the latter finally tells her he loves her the former refuses to believe and declines his offer of a relationship will appeal to me.
Trust me, I tried liking Angel Locsin and her TV shows and movies. But she’s just too overacting for my tastes. And too trying hard to be the consummate actress even if it’s obvious she’s not.
Oh, well.
Lovely poster!

I saw this in Pinterest and was immediately drawn to the artsy look of the poster. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. That’s the movie and I just love the poster which I can already see hanging on my bedroom wall.
Where can I find and buy this poster? I really want one!
Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close

Be sure to bring a box of tissues when you watch this film about a 10-year-old boy who journeys across New York after losing his father (played by Tom Hanks) on September 11, 2011. He is determined to find the box that goes with the key his dad left him, and his perseverance and love will tug at your heartstrings. Bring your guy or your BFF when you watch this so you’ll have a shoulder to cry on (and someone to hug you) when the waterworks start. – cosmo.ph
I just saw this movie as one of the top movies to watch this January 2012. I must say I was immediately drawn to it upon seeing Sandra Bullock‘s name on the top. Not so much with Tom Hanks as I don’t like some of his movies. So I read the blurb and, well, this is a movie that is indeed one to be excited about!
It will be shown in Manila on January 20.
Can’t wait!
Zombadings

I’ve been meaning to watch this movie but for some reason I missed it. Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington was one of those Tagalog movies that I would risk watching in the movie house. I can’t remember exactly why I missed the theater run but I think it had something to do with the schedule. Which was really too bad as I was looking forward to seeing it.
I remember that as soon as posters were up, I told my sisters that we should watch the movie as the title itself was already so darn funny!
I will just have to buy the DVD of the movie and watch it at home.
Game of Thrones

Season 1 of the Game of Thrones is already done. For those who are unfamiliar with it, Game of Thrones is an HBO series adapted from the book series A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. The TV series is a big hit even if it’s only on cable TV. I do think that the combination of great story, blood and gore plus sex provided enough lure for TV viewers to watch and follow the series.
On my part, I actually followed the series because I am reading the books and was truly drawn to the story line. Plus it helped a lot that the TV series had Jason Momoa cast as Khal Drogo. Had me swooning every time he appeared on the small screen!
Are you a fan of the Game of Thrones like me?
Jessica Zafra and Breaking Dawn

I am sure you have either watched Breaking Dawn part 1 already or you are planning to catch it before its run in the cinemas end. As for me, my friend and I will go catch it this weekend.
To be honest with you, I am not really excited about the movie. I am excited about seeing my friends, though. The Twilight Saga movie franchise made a joke out of the Stephenie Meyer books I don’t even know what was going through Stephenie’s mind she let the scriptwriter massacre her book series! If you are a huge fan of the Twilight book, you know what I am talking about.
Anyway, so I saw this article by Jessica Zafra in her column in InterAksyon.com and I’d like to share it with you. I am not going to post the article here but will just direct you to the column itself: Twilight – Breaking Wind. Read it! It’s so funny if you feel the same way towards the massacre of the movie you’d totally agree with her observations.
After Inception…

I am still looking for that movie that will make me go WOW! After Inception, there isn’t one that made me feel like that. Of course, the last Harry Potter movie is not included in this. How great the movie would be was already a given even before I saw it. I didn’t know how good Inception was until I was seated in the cinema. No other movie has captured my attention the way that movie did.
I hope a movie as good as Inception will come along. The only movie I am looking forward to now is The Hunger Games and I scared it will disappoint
What movies are you most looking forward to?
