It’s amazing what the word “SALE” can do a person. Crazy, I tell you! A person goes crazy when he hears the word “sale”!

A fine example of this was the recently concluded Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale that took place after Thanksgiving Day. Wow! People once again went nuts over items that were on sale! I personally know some people who really took their time out to shop on Black Friday, falling in line hours before a shop opened. Crazy!

I am amazed at the ideas coming from some people. Can you imagine creating a coffee mug that looks like a toilet bowl? Well, yes! Look at the photo above! It’s not just an idea, mind you. There are real ones being sold somewhere in the planet as I am writing this down.

Disgusting, yes? But still amazing!

Taking Halloween too far!

Can you believe the owners of this house? They’ve taken Halloween decorations too far! Covering the front of their house with a horrific tent-like cloth with a photo of a face…

Cash cow

What is a cash cow? It’s a person who earns a lot of money and the people around her milk to their own advantage. That’s what a cash cow is.

And you know there are a lot of individuals out there who serve as cash cows to their families and, some even to their friends. It’s a disgusting habit of a lot of people who rely on a kinder and weaker person to give them a living.

Most oldest children in the family are cash cows in this country.

Unbelievable!

I can’t believe the story about these parents who, seeing as they have a cash cow in their daughter, won’t let her find happiness by being too strict on her to the point that she can’t even have a cellphone of her own. Can you imagine that!

I mean it would have been understandable if the daughter we’re talking about here is a minor. But, no! She is already 24 years old and of sound mind and body. She is earning a lot of money not for herself but for her parents and two siblings. And despite being the obedient daughter and overly generous older sister, she is being treated like she’s going to throw away her money on unnecessary things and that she’s going to be a slut. She is not allowed to have money even if every penny is her own. She is not allowed to be friends with guys or to even entertain possible suitors. She’s of age! She can handle her own money and even have a boyfriend or two!

It’s unbelievable how parents could be this cruel to their own child. They are hiding it under the pretense of being overprotective of her but the truth is that they are robbing their daughter of her happiness! She is making her a prisoner of their misplaced love for her, if it’s even love that they have for their cash cow.

Are you Mom enough?

I must admit that I am one of those people who were shocked to see this cover from TIME magazine. I mean, it’s a real shocker! Can you see how big the kid is already and still breastfeeding from his mom? And is that a real mom looking so smug and ready to tackle whoever it is that goes against her beliefs?

I’m sorry but I just think the image is totally unnecessary. A real good title would have been enough. But since they wanted to go for the shock value, then they won! They got what they are going for!

I just think it’s tasteless and I don’t believe in breastfeeding a kid past the age of two.

Hanging a puppy…

Jerzon Senador hung a puppy on the clothesline and he is now going to pay the price for treating his pet badly. Animal cruelty, that’s what you call the act that Jerzon did to his puppy. Can you imagine doing that to a pup and then posting it after in Facebook?

He is now facing a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 8485 or the Animal Welfare Act, according to a Facebook post of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) on Friday.

Tsk tsk. We have pet puppies at home. I can’t imagine doing this to the pets we love so much. I hope the puppy is in better hands now.

Meow!

That is a cat in the photo and the cat’s name is Meow. He is the world’s heaviest living cat and he needs a home. His 87-year-old owner dropped him off in an animal shelter saying she no longer has the capacity to care for him. The tabby is two years old and weighs a staggering 39 pounds! It translates to about 600 pounds in humans.

Wow!

I do hope Meow will be able to find a home and a family who will care for him properly.

Spits in tea!

A McDonald’s worker was found guilty of spitting in customers’ tea drinks before serving it to them. Since the plastic cups were covered, the customers didn’t see the phlegm in their tea until one of those customers uncovered the cup and found it floating in the drink.

Eww!!!

How gross and disgusting that was! If I were that customer, I’d make the worker drink that tea in front of me right that very minute! Let’s see if Marvin Washington Jr. can stomach the disgusting stuff he’s spitting in the customers’ drinks!

Totally disgusting!

I read a news article on Global Post about an HIV positive maid in Zimbabwe who laced her employer’s 4-year-old child’s porridge with her own menstrual blood. WTF?!?

According to the news report I read, Pelagia Mureya, who is HIV-positive, “carried out the disgusting act several times until luck ran out.”

It was just discovered when the employer noticed a drop of blood when the child was eating porridge so the employer investigated. When Mureya was arrested she pleaded ignorant of the accusation against her but upon tests done in Gutu Rural Hospital, the blood in the porridge was indeed that of Mureya’s. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison last Saturday.

If you ask me that woman deserves to drink every single drop of blood that comes out of her! What a disgusting excuse for a human being!

Renner-Aquino meet up

The evening news flashed that Mission Impossible and Bourne Legacy actor Jeremy Renner visited the president of the country Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to make a courtesy call. It’s nothing new as most well-known foreign celebrities who come for a visit really go out of their way to pay the president a courtesy for being in the country.

What struck me as odd in the meet up was Jeremy’s attire. I smiled when I saw that he wore the traditional Filipino formal attire Barong Tagalog. But when I saw the photo that came out with the Philstar.com article the day after the visit took place, I shook my head, disappointed. Barong Tagalog with cargo pants. Really?!?

Who goes to meet a country’s president wearing a very casual pants? Didn’t Jeremey know that he’s meeting the president that day? I’m sure he knew. Why didn’t he even bother wearing slacks? When you go meet the highest officer of a country the first thing that comes to mind in attire is formal. As a COURTESY to the highest officer of the country you wear your Sunday best. But no, Jeremy Renner had to go wear his cargo pants to meet the president.

What a disappointment!

I read a story about a high school football coach getting kicked out of his job because he accidentally posted his nude photo in his Facebook wall! It was just a mistake as he was supposed to post it privately for his girlfriend alone but instead he posted it for everyone to see. A parent of one of his school’s students saw the photo and immediately reported him to school officials.

Then he got the boot!

Lesson learned: Do NOT post your naked photos via Facebook! Better yet, do not take photos of yourself naked!

Oh my goodness! I saw Macaulay Culkin‘s name trending for a few hours in Twitter this afternoon. When I checked, it was because of this photo of him…

Whatever happened to the man??? The jokes that went around Twitter was that he was left Home Alone (alluding to his famous movie franchise) too long!

Fame and fortune didn’t do him any good at all. Not to mention the fact he had a bad set of parents who were more interested in the money he made from the Home Alone movies than in his well-being.

19 babies and more?!?

My goodness! I don’t know what these Duggars are thinking but isn’t it enough that the 19th baby Michelle Duggar gave birth to almost killed her? And now there’s another baby (number 20!) coming!

I know the Lord said in the bible to “go forth and multiply”. But I don’t think He was telling the Duggars to get pregnant and give birth year after year until Michelle dies from giving birth! What these people are practicing is not only dangerous but also not very funny at all. Do they think that by having the most number of kids in a single family will make them achieve riches and popularity?

Yes, they are popular and have been earning from letting TLC‘s cameras roll inside their house and wherever they go to. But at what cost, especially to the kids?!?

Aren’t kids suppose to be enjoying their youth? The Duggar kids are busy helping their parents do their duties! The boys in the family do what their father is supposed to be doing inside the house if he isn’t so busy getting his wife pregnant! And the girls are busy doing the chores their mother is supposed to be doing if she isn’t pregnant year after year! Poor kids! I don’t think those kids are normal anymore.

Someone should stop the Duggar couple from cashing in on procreation like this!

Actor urinated in aisle of plane

French actor Gerard Depardieu outraged passengers of an Air France flight when he urinated in the aisle of the plane. He insisted on going to the bathroom while the plane was taking off and when the hostess told him to take a seat, as all passengers do when plane is on take off, he suddenly urinated in the aisle! The plane had to go back to have the carpet cleaned and was delayed for more than an hour.

When I read this news, the first thing that came to mind was… what an a-hole! The guy was reportedly drunk. Why was he allowed to board the plane when he was that intoxicated?! Is it because he was a well-known French actor?

Argh! Just because you are famous doesn’t mean you are entitled to behave like a-holes anywhere you go. Be considerate of other people!
