He’s really good!

Tito plays the melodica and I must say that he is really good at it! Tito came from a family of musicians and they all have each a specialty of their own. His father is good with guitars. His mom is good with the piano. His older brothers are good with the drums, the harp and the beat box. While his younger sister is good with the violin. It’s like their parents wanted them to have a music instrument they are all good at and can be really good playing.

And Tito’s choice is the melodica. He hopes to play professionally with a band.

Helping in the business

It is hard for a woman to help in a business about auto parts and accessories but with Lea helping with family business has been done since she was a little girl. She actually knows bearings more than beads and fashion accessories. She grew up at her father’s shop and she knows every little and big part being sold there.

Lea is actually ready to take over should her father desires to go for an early retirement. He’s been hinting at it and wondering if Lea can take over with the help of her brother. But her brother is busy being a doctor so it’s up to her to replace her father as business owner. She is ready.

Keeping up with the younger generation

The elders want to keep up with the younger generation so they want computers for each one of them and lessons so they know how to operate one.

I think it is great that those of the past generations who grew up on manual typewriters and gramophones have a desire to know this generation’s technology. I would like to think that it will also make their lives easier. Even learning how to email and chat can help them a lot in keeping in touch with their love ones scattered all over the globe.

Game of Thrones

Season 1 of the Game of Thrones is already done. For those who are unfamiliar with it, Game of Thrones is an HBO series adapted from the book series A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. The TV series is a big hit even if it’s only on cable TV. I do think that the combination of great story, blood and gore plus sex provided enough lure for TV viewers to watch and follow the series.

On my part, I actually followed the series because I am reading the books and was truly drawn to the story line. Plus it helped a lot that the TV series had Jason Momoa cast as Khal Drogo. Had me swooning every time he appeared on the small screen!

Bored? How about online bingo?

Cousin Rina is easily bored. She just couldn’t abide sitting idly. She needs something to do all the time. But she is also not the type of person who can spend hours on Facebook and Twitter waiting for updates from the people whom she interacts with. She needs something specific to do while online if ever. So I told her this… how about Online Bingo Games to keep you occupied and not bored when you have nothing else to do? She perked up and seemed interested when I told her my suggestion. Rina is specially bored these days because she is in between jobs. She will be starting work in three weeks so for now she is stuck at home when she is not meeting up with friends. The first question that she asked me was is it the same as the bingo game when we were younger? I told her it is a bit different considering that it is now played online whereas before we need to gather around a bingo hall or a specific place and would need to wait for the bingo master to call out the numbers. It is equally fun and both the online and offline game espouses community which is what I like about the game.

You might find it cheesy but I do have a soft spot for games of my youth. Those games I indulged in when I was trying to fit in the world of the adults around me. I am the eldest and I was always with the oldies. Rina was much younger than me so she didn’t witness those days when two older cousins and I would join the oldies in the family play bingo card games at the gram’s house. Those were the days… nowadays, just boot up your computer, connect to the internet and you can easily play bingo!

Jessica Zafra and Breaking Dawn

I am sure you have either watched Breaking Dawn part 1 already or you are planning to catch it before its run in the cinemas end. As for me, my friend and I will go catch it this weekend.

To be honest with you, I am not really excited about the movie. I am excited about seeing my friends, though. The Twilight Saga movie franchise made a joke out of the Stephenie Meyer books I don’t even know what was going through Stephenie’s mind she let the scriptwriter massacre her book series! If you are a huge fan of the Twilight book, you know what I am talking about.

Anyway, so I saw this article by Jessica Zafra in her column in InterAksyon.com and I’d like to share it with you. I am not going to post the article here but will just direct you to the column itself: Twilight – Breaking Wind. Read it! It’s so funny if you feel the same way towards the massacre of the movie you’d totally agree with her observations.

After Inception…

I am still looking for that movie that will make me go WOW! After Inception, there isn’t one that made me feel like that. Of course, the last Harry Potter movie is not included in this. How great the movie would be was already a given even before I saw it. I didn’t know how good Inception was until I was seated in the cinema. No other movie has captured my attention the way that movie did.

I hope a movie as good as Inception will come along. The only movie I am looking forward to now is The Hunger Games and I scared it will disappoint

Insure then travel

I took it upon myself to remind my neighbor to get a motorhome insurance before they take their motorhome out for a trip outside the city next weekend. I am close to my neighbors and I know how much they are looking forward to their countryside trip. I just want them to take into consideration how important an insurance is.

And I am happy my neighbor will get one today. I just know they will enjoy their trip especially now that they have a motorhome to use. They use to rent vans to take them outside the city. It cost them a lot! So my neighbor thought she might as well invest in a motorhome so that whenever she and her three kids feel like going outside the city for a day or two, then they don’t have to rent vehicles anymore.

Whatever is happening to GLEE?!?

I am no longer a GLEEk. In fact, I stopped watching after Season 1. I just don’t like where the story line was leading to. With all the homosexuality, bitchiness and everything in between, watching it with a little girl at home was no longer appealing. I am sure you get my drift.

Well, why am I asking about GLEE now?

That’s because I keep watching reruns of Project Runway in ETC where GLEE is also being shown. I see teasers of upcoming episodes of Season 3 and past ones from Season 2 and I couldn’t believe how horrible the show has become! I was both sad and relieved whenever I see a teaser from GLEE. Sad because the show used to hold so much promise when it was just about a bunch of ‘losers’ in school grouped together to form a glee club. Then the numerous celebrities thrown here and there to rake in more viewers and Kurt becoming the center of the story when it used to be Rachel and Finn. Relieved because I stopped watching the show turn into crap!

Deadly side effect

I don’t know if you have encountered or experienced first hand a deadly side effect of a medicine you thought would make you or someone better. I did. I saw someone suffer because what he thought would make him better turned out to be a medicine with a deadly side effect! Good thing he was able to turn the side effect around and get himself cured.

Those with diabetes might have taken a medicine called Actos. This medicine is reportedly causing bladder cancer and actos cancer lawyers are calling out to those who are suffering from it. You need not suffer anymore.

Learning something new

One of the things that I promised myself a few weeks before college graduation is that I will continue learning. No matter what, even with a very hectic work life, I will learn something new from time to time. It’s a must or I just know my mind will deteriorate in no time at all.

Technology is an area where I am most interested in. Even with Nihon Superior laser stencils, give me something to read about it and I will be interested to know more. Can you imagine those very small stuff being stenciled these days and still being carried out? Very interesting for me!

We must learn something new no matter what age we are.

19 babies and more?!?

My goodness! I don’t know what these Duggars are thinking but isn’t it enough that the 19th baby Michelle Duggar gave birth to almost killed her? And now there’s another baby (number 20!) coming!

I know the Lord said in the bible to “go forth and multiply”. But I don’t think He was telling the Duggars to get pregnant and give birth year after year until Michelle dies from giving birth! What these people are practicing is not only dangerous but also not very funny at all. Do they think that by having the most number of kids in a single family will make them achieve riches and popularity?

Yes, they are popular and have been earning from letting TLC‘s cameras roll inside their house and wherever they go to. But at what cost, especially to the kids?!?

Aren’t kids suppose to be enjoying their youth? The Duggar kids are busy helping their parents do their duties! The boys in the family do what their father is supposed to be doing inside the house if he isn’t so busy getting his wife pregnant! And the girls are busy doing the chores their mother is supposed to be doing if she isn’t pregnant year after year! Poor kids! I don’t think those kids are normal anymore.

Someone should stop the Duggar couple from cashing in on procreation like this!

Windows of the soul

They say that our eyes are the windows of our soul. If that is so, it might be better to make it lovely, smoky and plain alluring! I think it’s time for you to know how to make your eyelashes grow! I should start learning, too.

I do think that a beautiful set of eyes can make a person lovelier to look at. I used to be so into eye make-up that I know how it can transform your plain face into a more pleasant one. I should know, I have done it and have seen the difference.

Now, my target is to make my lashes better and longer and thicker!

A special job

Tony is seeking a special job. He is looking for Orthotist Jobs and he wants to find one and be hired as soon as possible.

He has a goal to achieve: save enough so he can take his family to a place they have never been to. For vacation! They have never been to any vacation because they don’t have enough funds to use. But with his plan in place and a new job to look forward to, he knows it’s just a matter of time before he achieves his goal. The sooner, the better!

Aches and pains in the joints

I think it is a given that as we grow older, aches and pains in our joints slowly manifest itself. We wake up in the middle of the night because there is something painful in our bodies. We cancel short trips because we are complaining of a back problem or our legs are not up to it. We don’t have time to spend with the kids because we are nursing a swollen aching knee. Do we really want to find ourselves in any of the aforementioned situations?

Gaming is his passion.

My cousin has gaming in his mind and heart. He is passionate about gaming that he explores the different adventures in the video gaming world. Everyday you can find him seated in front of the gaming computers in the internet cafe in front of his house. Naturally, he is playing a video game. He will ask anybody in the internet cafe to come play with him and I tell you, there is always someone willing to have a go with him!

To date he has won numerous video gaming competitions. He is planning to compete internationally as soon as he figures out how he can divide his time for gaming and for work.

Mika’s baby

If there’s one thing that I am praying for, it’s for Mika to have a baby by next year. I already want to be an aunt to her kid(s)! Next year the baby jogger city versa will be coming out. I told her that if ever she has a baby next year, I will get her that. I will get my “nephew” other baby stuff that he will need including feeding bottles, crib and beddings, and a whole lot more.

No, I am not putting pressure to her and her husband. I am only saying that I want them to have a baby by next year! Or else…

Hahaha! Just kidding!

Organization is the key…

I am an organization freak! You know I can’t focus really well on what I am doing when I see that there’s chaos around me. I need to organize my desk, my whole corner and the TV rack directly in my view. I need to do that otherwise there won’t be any work done.

It’s the same with my digital files. I need to organize it by folder and have at least two backups of all of it so that there won’t be any chance I will lose any file. A friend, knowing my innate desire to be always organized told me about the document management software from Dokmee.net. And when I went and had a look, I am definite that it’s a software meant for someone like me.

I will be spending the next few days doing backups and all that. I will surely try out the software for docs management.

I need to be reminded…

I am too lazy for the past few weeks now. I lack the motivation that I used to be abundant of. I don’t have the energy to put in as much work as I used to.

But I need to stay focused. I have obligations to fulfill and being lazy will derail my plans. So this time around, I am posting this message here and will use it as an inspiration.
