Jessica Zafra and Breaking Dawn

I am sure you have either watched Breaking Dawn part 1 already or you are planning to catch it before its run in the cinemas end. As for me, my friend and I will go catch it this weekend.
To be honest with you, I am not really excited about the movie. I am excited about seeing my friends, though. The Twilight Saga movie franchise made a joke out of the Stephenie Meyer books I don’t even know what was going through Stephenie’s mind she let the scriptwriter massacre her book series! If you are a huge fan of the Twilight book, you know what I am talking about.
Anyway, so I saw this article by Jessica Zafra in her column in InterAksyon.com and I’d like to share it with you. I am not going to post the article here but will just direct you to the column itself: Twilight – Breaking Wind. Read it! It’s so funny if you feel the same way towards the massacre of the movie you’d totally agree with her observations.

Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood was one of the last two movies I’ve seen in a while. It is a horror movie directed by Catherine Hardwicke of the Twilight movie fame. The movie was loosely based on the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood. A Young Adult book of the same title was released as a movie tie-in.

The movie starred Amanda Seyfried in the title role as Valerie.
I was not supposed to watch this movie as I hated the way Catherine Hardwicke massacred Twilight. I thought I wouldn’t watch another Hardwicke-directed movie ever again. I broke that promise and I truly regretted it! I didn’t like the movie. It was like watching Amanda Seyfried’s overly big eyes for the whole movie! It was cheesy and very poorly edited. Hardwicke obviously hadn’t gotten over Twilight yet because the opening sequence of the movie as well as most parts of it were reminiscent of Twilight. The part I hated the most? That feast sequence where almost everyone appeared to be high on something!
I just felt like watching a movie that day and unfortunately for me, this movie was the only one (I thought was) worth watching.
Me: Old Soul and Hopeless Romantic
I am an old soul. If you ask me to choose between a laid back Sunday or a Sunday full of activities, I will choose the former in an instant. I love 50s music. I love the voices of Johnny Mathis, Louis Armstrong, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Buble… I love big bands.
I am a hopeless romantic. I have this dream of marrying a guy older than me so that I could be his baby and he’ll take care of me.
Maybe that is the reason why I love the character in the Twilight books. Edward Cullen. Well, who doesn’t want someone like him in real life? He is almost perfect! And I love how a man can be so giving and loving at the same time.
And if a guy can carry a tune… well, that fits the bill for me
I am hooked!

I first read of Twilight from another blogger’s blog. I searched the book, curious. When I found out what the story was, I immediately asked an ebook from my friends. Then I read it for 1 and 1/2 days!
I guess you now know what came of it. This post is a testament.
I am in love with Edward Cullen!
